I must say, since it is officially cloudy in Seattle and now moving into the Fall season, that Summer was great. Nick and I got to drive down the coast from Seattle to Orange, making many adventurous stops along the way. We spent time in the caves of Oregon- where we met a Nixon, the Redwoods- where we climbed into the trunk of a fallen tree, Monterrey Bay- where a seal lion nearly made me go into early labor by terrifying me when he decided to jump over the front of our kayak, Sonoma- the vineyards are beautiful and I cannot stop dreaming about Wild Flour Bread, and of course, we had a great time with our incredible family and friends. We got to meet our beautiful niece, Harper, for the first time and spent as much time as possible in, near, or around the ocean.
Now we are back to our routine here in Seattle, though that will soon be filled with an entirely new experience- raising a child- in about 5 weeks. We are so thankful for all that God has given to us and look forward to what’s ahead. Here’s to Summer 2010!
