I have the greatest husband in the world.
And one of my favorite things about him, is his surprise factor. I am a sucker for surprises, and no one gets me better than this guy.
Nick and I had the opportunity to go back to California, after a week of unpacking in Seattle, to host my student’s photography exhibit (pictures of which I will post later) and to visit some family. However, Nick was only able to stay one week, due to work, and I was lucky enough to stay for longer and see my adorable nephew for the second time. He pretty much rules.
Now, Mr. Awesome Surpriser Bogardus was kind enough to pick me up from the airport last Friday night when I returned to Seattle. Our car was totaled on our move up here from California, so while I was gone, Nick, with the help of my mom and brother, found a great deal on a newer car. I was in awe of being in our first car together, playing with the random functions and buttons, that I couldn’t have dreamt of there being anything more.
That was until, Nick let me into the house first to find this:
Along with the computer and flowers, there was one of the most beautiful cards anyone has ever given me, but I will spare you the sob-fest details.
In short, it is my early birthday present that will be used for the large amounts of photo editing I hope to do-and other stuff considering my 6 year old powerbook is slowly but surely dying on me. After getting to teach photography in Mongolia and many other “random” coincidences that keep occurring, I truly believe God is pushing me to be more creative and to run with what I love doing-photography.
I hope I can do justice to the 24 inches of pure mac love that I have so graciously been given.
Nick, you truly are the greatest man I know. xoxox
